Bags, belts and boots!
Let me start by saying I am no fashionista, but I do pay attention to the trends and attempt to spice up my mommy wardrobe with the occasional trendy accessory. If I had the the money to, I would have tons of accessories lining my closet. Until then I will take notes and dream about it. My most all time favorite clothing accessories are Bags, Belts and Boots. Right now it seems when it comes to bags, the bigger the better. Some of the hottest looks in purses, in my opinion, are Kathy Van Zeeland, Guess and Coach. They have an incredibly fashionable exterior. Kathy Van Zeeland adorns most of her bags with fancy flashy charms. Every time I pass one in the department store I take a look. I do not own one of her bags yet but I will. I do have a Guess purse and right now it is my absolute favorite. It is a couple seasons old but still in great condition and matches almost everything since it is a creamy white. It holds the signature G on the front and is put together very well. I own only two of the famous COACH bags. One I bought myself and one that was given to me. I also love these bags. You can spot those C's from anywhere when you like these purses! I like to keep my colors on the neutral side when it comes to bags, especially since I own a random few. That way one of them always goes with something I am wearing. One of the best things about these purses is that they can dress up and dress down. Jeans or skirts, throw them on your shoulder and you look great.
Belts have been an accessory of mine since I was little. I always liked a skirt that had a nice belt with a shiny buckle. My favorite style of belts since high school has always been the black/brown with silver loop holes. They are a little edgy to me and show off your waistline. I've seen some belts worn in great ways these days. For example a wide belt over a long shirt, skirt or sweater dress is especially flattering to the figure. Some belts also come on long to medium length jackets and give an extra flair to the silhouette. In most cases, these types of belts are all for the look and not so much for holding anything up!
Boots are my new found favorite accessory. I see a lot of UGGs and heeled boots. I love both styles. My current favorite pair is a non name brand boot that reaches the top of my calf and has two buckles on the outside. I like to wear my pant legs tucked in. At first I was afraid and even unsure of this look but now I have definitely fallen in love. I wear them any chance I get. I owe a lot of thanks to my mom for buying them and my sister for picking them out! My sister is even more so into these type of boots and she can rock an even taller pair over her pant legs and look great doing it. I also like the heeled boots. Something about wearing a great pair of black heeled boots and your favorite jeans feels great.

Jewelry
Jewelry is a great accessory. You can wear gold with sneakers or heels and it looks good. When I was in school I loved rings so much I almost wore one on every finger. I like the silver or white gold look. Now I only wear my wedding rings unless I'm getting ready for a special occasion and add a couple extra from my collection. I don't like the look of adding white and yellow gold unless it is a piece that adds them together itself. Then it is pretty. Necklaces come with a huge list of do's and don'ts. Wear long necklaces with high neckline, wear choker necklaces with strapless, short necklaces with long or V neck and no necklace with a top that shines alone. Earrings are another accessory to wear with some thought. Long dangle earrings can help make your face look longer. Too many earrings up both ears can be confusing but more than one piercing per ear can be interesting and tasteful if done right. I also like bracelets. Bangles seem to be the popular bracelets now, especially the thin ones. Most of all don't over do it in all areas at once. Big earrings, big necklace and lots of rings may be a bit over the top. Pick which accessory goes best with your outfit and work your way from there. If your top has sequins and beads, don't wear a necklace, if your necklace is long and is your centerpiece, wear studs in the ears etc.
With any accessory, be it bags, boots, belts or jewelry none of them have to be done on a name brand level. My newest boots were less than $20 at the mall, and they look great. Most of all have fun, feel pretty and WORK IT GIRL!
